Transformers and G.I. Joe Crossover Film Lands Writer

A Transformers-G.I. Joe crossover film is coming after years of fan expectation. Early development updates on the Paramount film include the news that Thor and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga actor Chris Hemsworth is in talks to play an unspecified role. While much about the Transformers / G.I. Joe movie is unclear, a crucial crew member was added. Derek Connolly will write Transformers/G.I. Joe, rumors said Thursday. No project director has been announced.

Since 2012's Safety Not Guaranteed, Connolly has worked with Colin Trevorrow often. He then scripted Trevorrow's Jurassic World, Dominon, Kong: Skull Island, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.
