Deadpool & Wolverine Opening Weekend Predictions are in!
Marvel Studios' first R-Rated film has cracked box office tracking boards after rumors of Deadpool & Wolverine smashing minor ticket sales records.
Deadline reports that six weeks before its debut, the threequel is targeting a $200 million to $239 million opening weekend. The Quorum, which tracks, considers this estimate "conservative".
The first Deadpool movie opened over $200 million, setting a record for R-rated movies, according to the trade. It began with $132.4 million in 2016, but Deadpool & Wolverine will likely surpass it.
That R-Rating will diminish theater attendance, but most chains allow children under 17 to watch R-rated films with an adult over 21.
they added "Among those willing to pay to see the movie in a theater, the Shawn Levy-directed threequel blows away all other titles this summer with a high score. In fact, it’s the highest of any movie this summer in any metric across unaided and total awareness and interest."
