Spider-Man NOIR Live-Action TV Series Happening With Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage will reprise Spider-Man Noir in MGM+ and Prime Video's Noir after voice acting the character in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Variety reports that MGM+'s linear channel will premiere the series in the U.S. before Amazon's streaming service launches it abroad. The Noir project was announced last year, but Cage's involvement was only rumored.


"Expanding the Marvel universe with 'Noir' is a unique opportunity and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers," said Amazon MGM Studios head of television Vernon Sanders.

"The extremely talented Nicolas Cage is an ideal choice for our new superhero and the accomplished producing team with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and the incredible team at Sony is dedicated to expanding this franchise in the most authentic way."

The series' logline says Noir is about "of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero."
