A scene from Henry Cavill's Man of Steel served as the idea for a moment in Episode 6 that included Storm, according to former X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo.

User @ItsRicoSousa on X (formerly Twitter) questioned DeMayo on whether Storm's first flight following her powers recovery was a reference to Superman's first flight in Zack Snyder's DCEU Superman solo film:

"Beau Demayo tell me this is a nod to the Supermans 1st Flight on 'Man of Steel.'"
