The Marvels Rebounds on Rotten Tomatoes no longer Rotten

The review embargo for The Marvels was removed yesterday, which appeared to be more bad news for Marvel Studios. While it received a 54% rating, placing it above Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and Eternals, it became the third MCU film to be labeled "Rotten" by review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes (and the fourth MCU project overall if Secret Invasion is included).

With even more reviews submitted overnight, the Captain Marvel sequel now has a 62% rating based on 146 reviews. As a result, it has a "fresh" rating for the time being. That could change in the following days, but if the score continues to grow, it could eventually surpass Thor: Love and Thunder's 63%. Yes, it would still be one of the MCU's least-liked releases, but this may be a significant help to The Marvels' box office prospects this weekend.
