MCU Time Jump Confirmed After T'Challa's Death In Black Panther 2

The sequel to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, according to Disney's most recent press release, will advance one whole year after T'Challa's demise in the MCU.

“Ramonda realizes that it’s been a year since T’Challa’s passing and Shuri’s still not healing—she’s not taking steps to move forward in a healthy way. They take a retreat—stepping away from the city, from the technology—to sit with no distractions and perform what is essentially a grief ritual. That’s when Namor shows up.”

It's still unclear exactly when in the MCU timeline this sequel will take place after everything that was released before it in Phase 4 and the latest project Werewolf by Night being the furthest in the timeline because it moves forward a full year after T'Challa's death. Even though both trailers showed the funeral for T'Challa, it's becoming obvious that this scene won't take up much of the movie's lengthy running time as we jump forward and meet Namor taking advantage of the King’s passing.
