Brendan Fraser is Interested in The Mummy 4

Brendan Fraser said, "I don't know how it would work," to Variety for a cover story on the making of The Whale. But if someone had the right conceit, I'd be game for it. Fraser was chosen for The Mummy because of his capacity for both giving and receiving blows, according to director Stephen Sommers. He had a great sense of humor and could punch and be punched, according to Sommers. "The guy you like the most. He never comes off as haughty or conceited." On The Mummy, Fraser performed a lot of the stunts himself. He even hurt his knee, but it didn't stop him from filming his scenes.

It should also be mentioned that The Rock is currently working on a revival /Reboot of The Scorpion King which itself was a prequel to The Mummy and somehow spawned multiple sequels of its own.
