Foggy Nelson IS NOT Dead Daredevil Born Again Twist Explained

Foggy Nelson IS NOT Dead Daredevil Born Again Twist Explained

Bullseye shoots Foggy Nelson in Daredevil: Born Again's season premiere. A year later, the villain is sentenced to multiple life sentences and the lawyer is dead (his death drives Matt Murdock's actions).

Foggy has died several times on the page—Daredevil saved his soul from Hell—but always returns. Will the MCU's character return? We assume it was too late to change Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul after Foggy was killed. Since Elden Henson is returning for season 2, Foggy isn't gone.

A savvy fan found an Easter Egg in the show's premiere with "468" next to Nelson, Murdock & Page. Can't mean anything, right? Daredevil #88 (issue #468 with the comic's original numbering) had "The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson."

After being stabbed and seemingly killed while visiting Matt in prison, Foggy is alive and in witness protection. He reluctantly accepted refuge from his assailants on the operating table and hid from his best friend. Foggy escaped and met Matt.

Given that, the FBI may have protected Foggy from Bullseye's pursuit of him and his client. Naturally, assuming the assassin was hired. Like on the page, faking Foggy's death would protect him. Undoing Foggy's death could be as controversial as killing him, but fans want to see him, Matt, and Karen together for more than a few scenes. If he's alive, they'll win.
