DAREDEVIL BORN AGAIN Season 2 To Feature The Return of a Defender

We thought Netflix's Marvel shows were no longer canon after Marvel Studios announced new MCU content for Disney+, but Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home changed that. Echo's villain, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), will return in Daredevil: Born Again, Netflix's fourth season of DD.

What about the Defenders besides the Man Without Fear? Brad Winderbaum, Marvel's head of streaming, television, and animation, told EW yesterday about Born Again that Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Iron Fist/Danny Rand may soon appear in the MCU.

“I can't say much, but I'll tell you that it's so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox. Obviously, we don't have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book. If you can draw it, you can do it. It's dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television. But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring."

According to scooper MTTSH, "at least one" more Defender will make an appearance in Daredevil: Born Again's second season, which is now in development. We do not know whose character she is talking to, but if we had to guess, we would say Jessica Jones is the most likely contender because, according to earlier speculations, Ritter's hard-drinking PI was supposed to debut in season 1 until the creative change.
