According to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, Zaslav wants the DCU's Batman on screen soon to compete with Marvel Studios. The Batman star Robert Pattinson might play the DCU's Dark Knight after the sequel.
DC Studios has given suggestions on The Penguin, and Gunn and filmmaker Matt Reeves discussed making the Arkham Asylum-set TV series part of the DCU, which confused everyone when it was supposed to take place in The Batman's world.
