Pacific Rim Prequel TV Series Begins Development at Legendary Pictures

It's official. The Pacific Rim world is returning. Although the live-action mecha series hasn't posted in years, it hasn't remained idle. Legendary Entertainment is developing a Pacific Rim prequel with Eric Heisserer for television.

Variety reports that the television contract has prompted Heisserer to develop Legendary Entertainment IP with Carmen Lewis. Pacific Rim is their first project. Television series is described as genesis story, although little is known. Legendary Entertainment has heard your desires to know how the anime-inspired series began.

After this new television arrangement, Legendary Television president Jason Clodfelter praised Heisserer. "Eric is a multitalented, prolific creator whose track record of critical and commercial successes speaks for itself," he said in a new post.
