Kumail Nanjiani cast as BOOSTER GOLD

A new online rumor claims that the DC Studios/Max Booster Gold series will star an actor who debuted in the MCU three years ago as the time-hopping hero.

Kumail Nanjiani, who played Kingo in Marvel Studios' Eternals, will play Michael John Carter in the DCU show, according to Nexus Point News.

Gunn and Peter Safran hired Danny McBride, John Carcieri, and Jeff Fradley, the HBO Max Original series The Righteous Gemstones' creative team, to work on the show, Nexus Point News reported.

This may support the rumor that frequent collaborator Jody Hill (The Righteous Gemstones, Eastbound and Down, Vice Principals) was hired as director/showrunner.

Gunn denied a report that production would begin this month, but he did say that "most" DCU-based shows have creative teams.
