James Gunn Confirms ALL DCU Projects are Standalone
James Gunn shared a number of exciting DCU updates while attending a Creature Commandos panel at New York Comic Con yesterday evening (you can view a new trailer for the show here).
The director began by declaring that David Coresnwet, who plays Superman, "is going to blow people the f*** away." "I think he's the best physical action star I've ever worked with," Gunn continued. People will also sacrifice their lives for Rachel Brosnahan."
"There's no trailer yet...it won't be too long, but it won't be too soon," the co-CEO of DC Studios said when asked when we can expect to see a sneak peek in the upcoming months.
We would wager that it will occur at CCXP in Brazil in December. Gunn has already stated that he will be attending the event because he is a huge fan.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow: "We start shooting in England in January. I just saw the screen test with Milly Alcock. It's based on Tom King's Woman of Tomorrow."
"Ana [Nogueria] came and pitched the story, and it was just one of the best pitches I’ve ever heard," he continued. "She immediately wrote a first draft that was great, and it just got better and better." Gunn added that he recently watched Alcock's screen tests with actresses trying out for Ruthye.
