Insomniac Cancels Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Story DLC

Insomniac has stated that it does not intend to add more story DLC to Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Many fans who were eagerly awaiting story extensions were disappointed by this update, and it now appears that Insomniac may wrap up Spider-Man 2's unresolved plot points in a follow-up or the speculated Venom spin-off.

Players were almost immediately curious about story DLCs after Spider-Man 2's October 2023 PS5 release. Only a month after its release, Spider-Man (2018) got its The City That Never Sleeps expansion, but until the devastating Insomniac data breach in December 2023, there was no news about Spider-Man 2's story DLC. At least three planned Spider-Man 2 story expansions that would have examined some of the unresolved plot threads in the original game were made public by the leak. But regrettably, Insomniac's plans indicate otherwise.
