Ike Perlmutter Reason for Trying to Cancel Black Panther Film at Disney

During his tenure at Marvel, Perlmutter earned a lot of enemies and is said to have tried to stop the studio from developing Captain Marvel and Black Panther because he did not think toys featuring Black and female superheroes would sell. One source claims that when the decision was made to cast Don Cheadle instead of Terrence Howard in the 2010 Iron Man sequel, Perlmutter told a Disney executive that the move saved money and no one would notice because "Black people look the same" (Turitzin denies that Perlmutter said this). Turitzin also addressed Perlmutter's resistance to Black Panther, saying that it was "not because [he was] racist but because it had never been done before and its success was not guaranteed." Perlmutter is also not a fan of Kevin Feige, so if he manages to
