Marvel's Echo Post-Credits Scene Explained

Marvel's Echo Post-Credits Scene Explained

Before the credits, in episode 4, Kingpin was seen flying on his private plane when Maya refused to go home to New York City with him. This scene after the credits starts with Kingpin and his plane. Kingpin is probably on his way back to New York, where he is taking care of business with the help of a woman who looks like her helper. After telling everyone to gather the "remaining heads" so he can "stabilize the situation," Fisk turns his attention to the TV and sees two political reporters talking about the race for mayor of New York City.

The writers are saying that there isn't a clear winner in the race. Men on TV say that the people of New York need a "fighter" as mayor to help fix the city's troubles. They even say that the people want a "bare-knuckle brawler." "Is that candidate even out there?" asks one of them. It's clear that Fisk is thinking about running for mayor of New York City as he watches. He leans forward with excitement.

The Kingpin is in position to run for mayor of New York City.

Kingpin's run for mayor of New York City is clearly set up by the TV show Fisk watches on the plane in the Echo scene after the credits come on. Wilson Fisk has always been in the public eye, but he has always portrayed himself as a businessman instead of a politician. The men on TV talking about how New York needs someone who isn't afraid to fight for the people and go up against the establishment makes it clear that Kingpin thinks he is the best person for the job. People don't see Kingpin actually run, but Vincent D'Onofrio's performance at the end of the scene makes it clear that Fisk plans to do so.
