Milly Alcock Cast as the DC Universe Supergirl
DC Studios has confirmed Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in the upcoming DC Universe franchise. Alcock will make her onscreen debut in Superman: Legacy, followed by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a cosmic adventure film based on Tom King and Bilquis Evely's comic miniseries. Rumors suggest Meg Donnelly, Emilia Jones, and Cailee Spaeny may also be in contention for the role.
Supergirl, created in 1959, is the cousin of Clark Kent and Superman. She became a public-facing superhero in 1962 and has appeared in various comics. The character has been portrayed onscreen in various projects, including Supergirl, Smallville, Arrowverse, and The Flash. In 2004, Kara was brought back to life. The mantle was eventually held by multiple women.
