Sydney Sweeney CONFIRMD for Spider-Woman Role

The upcoming superhero role that Sydney Sweeney will play in Madame Web was just confirmed, and you can thank Total Film magazine for that. It has been confirmed that she will take on the role of Julia Carpenter (aka the second Spider-Woman).

The actress stated that she "couldn't be more excited" and that she "can't wait to be able to talk about it" when asked about how she felt about the news. Carpenter was subjected to experiments without her knowledge as part of what she was led to believe was a "athletic study." These experiments led to her transformation into Spider-Woman. She received injections of a combination of spider venom and the extracts of rare plants at some point, which resulted in her acquiring abilities comparable to those of Spider-Man himself.
