James Gunn to Direct Superman Legacy
It would appear that James Gunn, head of DC Studios, will be busier than he has ever been due to the upcoming role he will play as the director of Superman: Legacy. Gunn has been at the forefront of bringing attention to the forthcoming first chapter of the DC Universe, with the reboot of Superman serving as one of the franchise's most important movies.
In addition, the head of DC Studios is writing the film, and co-CEO Peter Safran has dropped hints that it is his responsibility to convince James Gunn to direct Superman: Legacy.
Tom King, a writer for DC Comics, recently participated in an interview with ComicPop, during which he discussed an intriguing aspect of the story Superman: Legacy.
King: “I mean, it’s tough because, there’s stuff I can talk about, and stuff I can’t… It’s a totally fair question. I mean, James Gunn is a super nerd and he’s super creative, right? He’s the writer and director of the Superman movie and he’s sort of the creative force behind all of this, him and Peter Safran. And he reached out to a group of screenwriters and myself, fantastic, amazing… whose names he’s put out there, to work on making these movies and TV shows as good as they can be.”
