Jonathan Majors FIRED by Disney
After hearing that Jonathan Majors was found guilty in his latest criminal trial, Marvel Studios has decided to no longer work with him as the voice of Kong the Conqueror. In Manhattan, Majors was found guilty of both harassment and reckless attack in the third degree after an argument with his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari. The news came out just hours later. Two other charges against him were dropped: intentional assault in the third degree and severe harassment in the second degree. Masters could spend up to a year in jail for these charges when they are sentenced on February 6, 2024.
Right now, it's not clear if Majors' part as Kang the Conqueror will be filled by someone else, or if Marvel Studios will move on from the character altogether. Reports from before the arrest said that the studio was planning to move on from the character and focus on a different Marvel Comics bad guy, like Doctor Doom. Majors was supposed to play the same part in both the upcoming fifth Avengers movie (originally called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty) and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. As revealed on Monday, Marvel Studios is still working on Avengers 5 in some way. The latest draft of the script has been written by Michael Waldron. Majors has been in two MCU movies this year. He played Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania and Victor Timely and He Who Remains in Loki's second season. Both of these movies were made before he was arrested.
