Jason Momoa Confirms He's Done Playing Aquaman
After that, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom may not have had a chance to do well at the box office.
There wasn't much interest in the DCEU's movies after the January slate reveal and what turned out to be a disappointing 2023, but now Jason Momoa has pretty much stated that his time as King of Atlantis will end next week. That's not really a good reason to buy the second book! "I don't necessarily want it to be the end...but I don't think it's really, like, a choice," the actor told Entertainment Tonight. He would then say that was because James Gunn and Peter Safran of DC Studios want "to start their own new thing up."
"The truth of it is, I mean, if the audience loves it, then there's a possibility," he said of his future as Arthur Curry. "But right now, I’m like, 'It's not looking too good.'"
"I love this character and [I would want to] play it for a long time. I kind of see where I would want it to go. And even in the next 10 years or so, like there's a lot of cool things they can do. And I do enjoy the role and the world. So, I mean, it just comes down to if people love it."
