Captain America 4 gets Moon Knight Writer for Major Reshoots & Rewrites
Marvel Studios recently changed its release plan, moving all of its 2024 movies (except Deadpool 3) to 2025. This includes Captain America: Brave New World (also known as Captain America: New World Order).
It took longer than planned because of the Hollywood strikes, but later news said that the test showing of the latest Captain America adventure did not go over very well. It sounds like three important scenes were cut, and new ones will be shot from January to May or June of next year.
Deadline confirms that more filming has been planned, and Marvel has hired Moon Knight writer Matthew Orton to write new scenes and material for the movie.
Reshoots are common, especially for big studio movies, but this long AP period has made people think that the company might be making big changes to the story, though Deadline's report doesn't say what those changes are.
