Disney Scraps Daredevil Born Again & Fires Everyone on Creative

Behind-the-scenes changes are being made to the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series for Disney+. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios fired Daredevil: Born Again head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman. The writers were reportedly let go in September, and the directors of the Disney+ original series were also let go as part of what is being referred to as a "creative reboot" of the show. According to the source, Marvel is looking for new writers and directors, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and Vincent D'Onofrio reprising his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Daredevil: Born Again production was halted in June due to a writers' strike, which appears to be coming to an end with an agreement reached between both sides. The search for writers and directors will not be the only change for the Daredevil reboot. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reportedly decided to take a different approach to the series, which allegedly was a legal procedural unlike its Netflix predecessor. "Marvel, after greenlighting the concept, found itself needing to rethink the original intention of the show," The Hollywood Reporter reports.
