Netflix live-action Assassin's Creed in "active" development!
Netflix announced a partnership with Ubisoft in 2020 to create Assassin's Creed-themed "content" including a live-action TV series.
After five years and several Assassin's Creed games, Netflix's TV project has yet to materialize. Has the project been quietly canceled? Game File reported that Netflix's gaming boss Alain Tascan told them the series is still in "active" development.
Die Hard writer Jeb Stuart was briefly attached to the Netflix Assassin's Creed series, but few details have been announced.
Tascan suggested that Netflix and Ubisoft's 2022 Assassin's Creed mobile game, about which we knew nothing, is no longer in development. Not the first Assassin's Creed Netflix project to fail. Netflix announced in 2017 that Castlevania creator Adi Shankar would create an Assassin's Creed anime. Unfortunately, the project failed.
