SPIDER-MAN Brand New Day is Avengers 5.5
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' fourth solo Spider-Man movie has been the subject of many theories and rumors, but a few months ago, some wild character rumors surfaced.
This new rumor may help us predict what to expect. Spider-Man 4 is being developed as "a direct sequel" to Avengers: Doomsday to bridge the gap between the 2026 and 2027 films, according to Daniel Richtman.
Spider-Man 4 could be a sequel to Doomsday since Tom Holland's wall-crawler will play a major role. Spidey wasn't in the recent MCU concept art that leaked online, but the images sparked some intriguing theories about his role in all three films.
Battleworld, ruled by Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom and several Avengers characters who have no memory of their past lives, appeared in the artwork. Doctor Strange cast a spell in No Way Home that erased Peter Parker from everyone he knew, and some believe this will leave Spider-Man as the only character free of Dooms' control, making him an Anchor Being (the concept introduced in Deadpool and Wolverine) tasked with saving Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Multiverse.
