Kyle Chandler cast as Green Lantern

Kyle Chandler is supposed to be DC Studios' Lanterns co-lead, despite not being included among Josh Brolin, Ewan McGregor, Matthew McConaughey, and Chris Pine during the earlier this month announcement.

Chandler (Bloodline, Catch 22, Friday Night Lights) is in talks to play veteran Green Lantern Hal Jordan, who will mentor newcomer John Stewart, according to Deadline.

New narrative specifics include "John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland." Younger actors are being cast as Stewart.
