Daredevil Born Again star CONFIRMS One-Shot Fight Scene
Remember the Netflix Daredevil hallway fights? Will Daredevil: Born Again continue Netflix's one shots? Charlie Cox told fans good news at Fan Expo Boston 2024. “Yes, those excited by that will not be disappointed,” Cox said.
The actor explained how the Netflix series made their oners and which scenes used Hollywood magic to cheat.
“There are different types of oners. A oner is a fight scene that takes place in one shot. There are things called a true oner. A true oner is when it really is one take, and there is no editing, there is no cuts, and there is no morphing, which is when you move the camera past something that is a solid color.”
You can technically cut during the black. While passing a black shirt, the screen goes black. Next, stitch a different take to make it look like an oner, but it's not. That is a true oner, where you use everything from one take. That season 1 and season 3 oner was one take. Two stitched oners. Season 2's staircase oner looks like one shot but has stitches. Sometimes that's because you can do things a true oner can't.”
March 2025 will bring Daredevil: Born Again.
