Ian McKellen Rushed to Hospital after Horrible Incident

Sir Ian McKellen was hospitalized after falling off stage during a London theatrical production of Player Kings.

The 85-year-old actor fell from the Noël Coward theatre stage during a battle scene, according to BBC reports. He screamed in anguish as staff raced in.


The audience was ordered to leave when the event was canceled.

Since April, Robert Icke's new adaptation of Henry IV, Parts One and Two, Player Kings, has been onstage. McKellen plays Falstaff with Richard Coyle and Ted Lasso's Toheeb Jimoh.


The BBC reported that one audience member called the incident “very shocking”.
