Marvel Studios Suffers Death on Production Set

Deadline has learned that a rigger who worked at Radford Studios in Studio City died today after falling off a catwalk. The man died at the scene of the accident. He was working on the set of Marvel Studios' Wonder Man, but the show wasn't filming at the time.

He was later confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department to be 41-year-old Juan Carlos Osorio from Temple City.

Marvel confirmed the news and said, "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends. We also fully support the investigation into what happened in this accident."

Following the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes, the company had to delay the shoot for Wonder Man. However, work on the series will begin next month.

In the comics, Simon Williams is the son of a rich industrialist, and his company, Stark Industries, loses to Tony Stark's. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams in the movie. Williams works for the bad guy Baron Zemo, who gives him electric powers that make him very strong. Wonder Man used to be against the Avengers, but in the end he joins forces with them.
