Amber Heard Thanks Fans for Aquaman Support

Mera played by Amber Heard was a major part of 2018's Aquaman, but going into Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, it was expected that the character would be sidelined. Director James Wan has repeatedly stated that he always planned to shift the focus to Arthur Curry's relationship with his half-brother Orm. As for Heard, she has made a number of accusations against both the filmmaker and Jason Momoa, even going so far as to say that the latter showed up to the set drunk and dressed like Johnny Depp in an attempt to aggravate her. Heard also claims that Wan failed to support her, saying she was made to feel "like a pariah" because of her ongoing conflicts with her ex-husband.

Now, Heard has shared her gratitude with her fans. "After all this time, Aquaman 2 made its splash (sorry, it’s too easy)," she says in the Instagram post below. "Thank you to all of my fans for the overwhelming support and love in Mera's [Aquaman] return. Thank you so much."
