James Gunn Reveals Insight How The DCU Writers Room Operates

Want to know how much the DCU Writers Room has a say in the future Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters movies and TV shows? James Gunn, co-chair of the studio, has written on Threads to give some advice. In answer to a fan question about whether the writers room meets regularly, like a staff meeting on Monday morning, Gunn said that's not at all the case.

As you may remember, Gunn works at DC Studios with Drew Goddard (The Martian), Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight), Christina Hobson (The Flash), Christal Henry (Watchmen), and Tom King, who writes comic books.

Said Gunn, "It’s nothing like that. We gathered a few times at the beginning of all of this to map out some overarching concepts & ideas & stories. Other than that I trust in quite a few of the writers individually to read & comment & give notes on scripts, keeping things more in the creative sphere as opposed to your typical studio notes."
