James Gunn talks DCEU Actors in Superman Legacy Status

DC Comics fans have thought for a while now that Viola Davis was going to play Amanda "the Wall" Waller in Superman: Legacy. Davis has played the part before in the DCEU, in the Suicide Squad movies, the TV show Peacemaker, and the Rock's Black Adam movie.

Davis is one of only a few DCEU stars who will be able to keep playing their role in the DCU. The others are John Cena as Peacemaker, Freddie Stroma as Vigillante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle. Many DC fans thought Amanda Waller would be in Superman: Legacy because of her usual job as a government representative for the US government, whose job it is to keep an eye on and control the country's metahuman population. But Legacy director and DC Studios co-chair James Gunn says that doesn't seem to be the case.
