Dark Knight & SnyderVerse Producer Uncertain About James Gunn's Plans
Charles Roven is one of the most prolific producers in Hollywood; however, the majority of you probably know him best for his connections to The Dark Knight Trilogy and the DC Extended Universe.
It is natural for him to have some opinions on James Gunn and DC Studios' plans to reboot the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) as the DC Universe (DCU), given that he produced everything from Zack Snyder's Justice League and The Suicide Squad to Man of Steel and everything in between. Having said that, what is his opinion on the matter?
When Roven was discussing Oppenheimer with The Hollywood Reporter, it seemed as though he was choosing his words very carefully. Nonetheless, he echoed the concerns that a lot of fans have regarding Gunn's current approach to casting the new DC Universe characters.
"Right now, they're really rebooting everything, and it's a little bit unclear to me exactly how finite their desire is to use or not use any DCEU actors in the same roles," he admits.
