Spider-Man 2 Actor tells fans to get over Peter Parker’s face Change

Spider-Man 2 Actor tells fans to get over Peter Parker’s face Change

Peter Parker makes a comeback in Insomniac Games' Spider-Man 2, albeit as a different version of himself than in previous games. Fans haven't gotten over the fact that Parker's appearance was altered by Insomniac Games after the release of Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales in the year 2020.

Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Spider-Man in the video game, responded to the fans who demanded that Insomniac go back to Peter Parker's old face by telling them that they need to just get over the change. He is the voice actor for Spider-Man. Insomniac is not willing to revert the wall-crawling superhero back to his original design after hearing complaints from fans for years.

Lowenthal discussed the face change that occurred with the release of Spider-Man Remastered in an interview with ComicBook. The change made Parker a more Hollywood-pretty protagonist in comparison to his more scruffy original look.

"My experience was the same as everyone else's. "As soon as they said, "Hey, we want to make this change so that the facial animation is better," I was able to move past it," Lowenthal explained. "I responded with 'I'm all in!'" It makes no difference to me if he has the appearance of a goblin; if my performance is superior, then I should be considered. To tell you the truth, I'm getting a little weary of discussing it because I believe that everything that needs to be said about it has already been said.

The actor elaborated by saying that he is aware that some viewers will never get over the fact that Peter Parker's appearance has been altered, but he believes that it is time to give up the chase. Insomniac Games has stated that the face featured in Spider-Man 2 will not be altered in any way, shape, or form before, during, or after the game's initial launch.

"For some people, it will take a longer period of time to get over it, and for others, they may never get over it. Lowenthal went on to say, "If there's one thing I can take away from this experience, it's that people connected emotionally so strongly and so profoundly with the first game, that they get upset when they feel that person is changing." "I can only be so mad about that because it worked, not the change thing, but you connected with the character, which is great." — "I can only be so mad about that because it worked." Get over yourself and move on!"

Spider-Man 2 is going to be a massive game that will feature not only Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but also the infamous symbiotic antagonist Venom. Even though some people, including myself, are still upset about the new look of the titular Spider-Man, the newest game from Insomniac looks like it will be another hit for the PlayStation 5.

On October 20, 2023, the official release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will take place on PS5.
