Chris Evans Agrees With Tarantino on MCU Movies
Chris Evans, who played Captain America, says that he and Quentin Tarantino share the same opinions regarding Marvel movies. GQ interviewed the movie star for a profile on a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and got his thoughts on what the directors think about Marvel Studios performers. Tarantino's argument boiled down to the fact that there are no longer any movie stars working on IP-driven projects. The director's point of view is that viewers will be more interested in seeing their favorite characters than the actors who play them. Evans, for his part, seems to be in agreement. However, he also considers this arrangement to be somewhat liberating in some ways because the pressure is never placed on you in the same way that it would be in other possible configurations. Check out what the star of "Captain America" had to say in the comments section down below.
"The joy of working on Marvel films lay in precisely this aspect. You were never required to take the lead or be in the spotlight "Evans stated to the publication. "Even in some of your own films. Occasionally. Relatively recently, Quentin Tarantino stated it, and I thought to myself, "You know, he's right." The main attraction is the character. You are present, but the pressure of the situation does not appear to be exerted on you."
