Superman Legacy Gets Official Start Date Announcement
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn announced in a new Wired video that Superman: Legacy will begin filming in January 2024.
Wired: What is James Gunn working on now?
Gunn's announcement is consistent with a recent story from Heroic Hollywood, which stated that the reboot's filming will begin in January 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The film's January start date should give it enough time to complete production before its July 2025 release date.
Gunn: "I'm working on Superman: Legacy which we shoot in January. I'm doing the press tour for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. We've been recording voices for our animated show, Creature Commandos. And then I'm helping other writers work on other projects in the DC world."
