Vin Diesel Sued for Sexual Battery of Assistant
On Thursday, a woman who used to work for Vin Diesel sued him, saying that he pinned her against a wall in a hotel room in 2010 and masturbated in front of her. The actress's employee, Asta Jonasson, says he took her to his hotel suite at the St. Regis in Atlanta, where he was shooting "Fast Five," and forced her to sleep on his bed.
The suit says she told him to stop and turned to walk out the door, but he followed her and started to kiss her chest and grope her breasts. The suit says that she screamed and ran to the bathroom when he tried to pull down her underwear. The woman who was attacked says Diesel pushed her against the wall and made her touch his bare penis. Diesel then allegedly started masturbating.
The lawsuit says, "Ms. Jonasson couldn't get away and closed her eyes, afraid of making Vin Diesel angry by rejecting him even more. She was trying to disconnect and wish the assault would end." The suit says that hours later, Diesel's sister, Samantha Vincent, who is the head of his company, called Jonasson and fired her.
“It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful — Vin Diesel had used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she had resisted his sexual assaults,” the suit alleges. “Ms. Jonasson felt like she was a piece of trash to be discarded. Ms. Jonasson felt helpless, her self esteem was demolished, and she questioned her own skills and whether a successful career would require her to trade her body for advancement.”
