MCU X-Men Film Starts Development
Deadline provided the most recent status update regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU's) first major X-Men movie, which has not yet been formally announced.
As a result of the recent writers' strike, an agreement was reached with the Writers Guild of America (WGA), and now Disney is planning to set up writer meetings in the fall in order to receive pitches for the first new X-Men movie that will be produced by Marvel Studios.
Due to the fact that this movie does not yet have a confirmed release date, Marvel intends to take its time in selecting a screenwriter for the new X-Men reboot, with an announcement likely to come sometime in the early year 2024.
In the past, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige discussed the possibilities of the X-Men becoming a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) while attending the world premiere event for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
