Empire has released a new photo of Adam Warlock from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Will Poulter is spotted walking down a corridor, his red cap flapping behind him. Adam Warlock is wearing a full-body suit with armor padding. He appears to be a formidable force, but is Adam Warlock a friend or foe of the Guardians? That remains to be seen, according to director James Gunn.

Adam Warlock is a hero in the Marvel Universe, but he appears to be an enemy of the team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Of course, it isn't that simple. "It's a little more complicated than that," James Gunn explained to Empire. "However, he is not a nice person. What we're seeing is Warlock's infant form, fresh out of the cocoon, and he doesn't understand life very well. He's essentially a baby."
