Marvel's Kevin Feige Almost Jumped Ship to DC to Oversee the SnyderVerse
Puck revealed in a recent article that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was on the verge of leaving Marvel owing to issues with Marvel management at the time. Among Feige's complaints was Marvel Entertainment's former CEO and current chairman, Ike Perlmutter's apparent opposition to diversity in the MCU.
Due to issues with Perlmutter, Feige apparently initiated serious discussions with Warner Bros. in the mid-2010s. The corporation behind DC Films apparently sought out Feige's MCU subordinates like Co-President Louis D'Esposito to help supervise its universe, but these attempts have so far been futile.
The President of Marvel Studios' conversations with Warner Bros. may have impacted his 2015 appointment to Disney chairman Alan Horn rather than Perlmutter. Former Marvel Television president Jeph Loeb continued to report to Perlmutter until the division was consolidated under Feige in 2019.
