Major Plan in motion to make Superman relevant in Films
According to Variety, the WB and Discovery merger may result in some good news for Superman fans. According to reports, David Zaslav, the combined companies CEO, believes that the live-action DC Comics projects currently "lack coherent creative and brand strategy."
Even though films like Aquaman and The Batman were undeniably successful, Zaslav singled out Superman as one of the many "top shelf characters... left to languish," all of whom he believes "need to be revitalized." Furthermore, Zaslav believes that projects like Joker and Birds of Prey are prime examples of second-rate characters who, when used and exploited properly, can create just as engaging projects as the A-Listers.
Personally i don’t see how Joker can be seen as “second-rate” but we can let WB decide that.
