Man of Steel 2 in Jeopardy, DCU Not Interested in Henry Cavill Sequel
According to an extensive report from The Hollywood Reporter and confirmation by Variety & Deadline, Man of Steel 2, starring Henry Cavill, may not be moving forward.
Initially, Warner Bros. Discovery was working on a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel, even meeting with writers. So, when Henry Cavill confidently declared on Instagram after the release of Black Adam in October that he was "back as Superman," he wasn't mistaken.
Unfortunately, this was before James Gunn and Peter Safran were named co-CEOs of DC Studios, causing the sequel to be scrapped, along with other major changes, in order to accommodate their DCU plans.
