Marvel Studios Pauses ‘Blade’ Film Development

as Reported by The Hollywood Reporter Marvel’s “Blade” will not be skating up hills anytime soon. The studio is putting a hold on the vampire adventure that will star Oscar winner Mahershala Ali after parting ways with director Bassim Tariq two weeks ago. Marvel is temporarily stopping production-related activities in Atlanta, where the film was scheduled to begin shooting in November, while it looks for a director and redevelops the project. The crew was informed on Tuesday.
