Madame Web Review Embargo Revealed
Richard Neto of The Hollywood Handle says that the review ban on Sony Pictures' future movie Madame Web will end at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13.
This means that the first reviews of the movie won't come out until the day before it opens in theaters on February 14.
An embargo lift so close to a movie's release may not always mean that companies don't trust the project, possibly because there is less time for bad reviews to get out before the movie comes out to the public. In December, the same thing happened to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in the DCEU. It was a pretty letdown ending to the SnyderVerse.
