Margot Robbie Wants to Pass of Harley Quinn to Other Actresses
When asked about her feelings about Lady Gaga playing the role in Todd Phillips' upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux, prolific actress Margot Robbie—best known for a number of iconic roles, including that of the DC Comics character Harley Quinn—recently revealed that she wants to pass the role on to other actresses. Robbie said that she has "always wanted" other actresses to play Harley Quinn and see what their interpretations bring to the character.
"I always wanted Harley to be a character that would get passed on to other actresses to play, the way there are so many iconic male characters," Robbie told Variety. "Harley's so fun and can go in so many different directions. You put her in someone else's hands, and it's like, 'What are they going to do with her?' The options are endless."
