WB delays Dune Part 2 & Lord of the Rings

Warner Bros. (WBD.O) movie studio will delay the release of a big-budget "Dune" sequel from November to March, according to a spokesperson for the studio who spoke on Thursday. This decision was made because the studio's stars are unable to promote the movie while the Hollywood actors' strike is in effect.

Cinema chains that are still struggling to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, such as AMC Entertainment (AMC.N), Cineplex (CGX.TO), and Cinemark (CNK.N), have been dealt a significant blow as a result of this decision. The late 2023 release of "Dune" was one of the movies that audiences were looking forward to seeing the most.
