More Indiana Jones IS Possible says LucastFilm President

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, confirmed that the upcoming film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be Harrison Ford's "last entry" in the franchise. However, Kennedy stated that if Lucasfilm were to continue the franchise, "it might be in series television:"

In previous interviews, Ford had stated something along these lines about him finally hanging up the Indy fedora for good. For example, in April of this year, he confirmed to Total Film that "the last time I'll play the character" would be in Dial of Destiny, while at the same time predicting that he would not be replaced:

“It’s Harrison’s last entry. That’s how we look at the Indy franchise. I mean, truthfully, right now, if we were to do anything, it might be in series television down the road, but we’re not doing anything to replace Indiana Jones. This is it. There are five movies that Harrison Ford did. And Harrison is so specific and so unique to creating this role. We just, Steven [Spielberg] agrees, we just wouldn’t do that.”

“This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film.”
