Jonathan Majors Charged Following NYC Arrest
According to the office of the Manhattan District Attorney, Jonathan Majors' arraignment on multiple charges of assault and harassment took place on Sunday.
The unidentified female complainant claims in the complaint that the defendant "struck her about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear." In addition to this, she asserts that he "put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain."
After what is being called a "domestic dispute," Majors was taken into custody on Saturday in Manhattan. He was charged with one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, one count of harassment in the second degree, several counts of assault in the third degree, and three counts of attempted assault in the third degree.
According to the district attorney's office, a judge granted Majors a limited order of protection and released him on his own recognizance.
