Jung Byung-Gil joins the HUNTRESS Korean-language DCU film Reportedly

A report circulated in July that DC Studios was working on a Korean-language film based on The Huntress as part of the DCU's "Chapter 2" slate, and we're now hearing that the project has a director. The project is now officially moving forward, according to @rDCEUleaks (who has previously supplied authentic DC-related information), with South Korean filmmaker and screenwriter Jung Byung-gil (Action Boys, The Villainess, Afterburn) in talks to script and direct.

We don't have much information, but it appears unlikely that Mary Elizabeth Winstead would repeat her role as Helena Bertinelli in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), while her co-star Margot Robbie is rumored to return as Harley Quinn in the DC Universe at some point. James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, has yet to comment on the original story, although he is a great fan of Byung-gil's work and posted the following on his Instagram account while in Seoul promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
