Marvel's Moon Knight is NOT connected to the Current MCU

Moon Knight executive producer Grant Curtis announced in a recent Disney press release that the series will not be part of the existing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“There’s no attachment to the current MCU. He’s brand-new, and he is going on a brand-new adventure. We really think the fans are going to enjoy it.”

Many fans would understandably interpret Curtis' statements as implying that Moon Knight isn't set in the MCU. That is not what the executive producer is saying here as i explain in the video above, Curtis appears to be implying that the Disney+ series will not be related to any of the MCU's ongoing plots or build up to whatever is next.
